I tried the chicken 66 biryani and it was very good. The medium spice level was perfect for me so it's on the spicier end of the scale. Plenty of food for 2 people.

Their butter chicken biryani is delicious. I love that it comes with a hard boiled egg and fresh onions and cilantro on top it brings the whole dish together. Their portions are huge

The spice and spicy isn't a joke, not for a gentle stomach, but delicious and good Indian food nonetheless. We ordered everything "mild" but still sweated and had to drink mango lassi in between. Flavor and taste is just as I had in Southern California and at my Indian friend's place. Place is Clean and busy place, and has a bakery inside. Would visit again and might ask for non spicy dishes and order more mango lassi & maybe some bakery too.

Review Based Solely on Chicken Biryani. I'm a chicken biryani guy. I've been living in Saint Louis for 6 months now. Had experiences at some restaurants. The only ones that I could say are worth going to would be Anis and Swagruha. I would rate both of these extremely good. Swagruha though gets extra points for consistency. A trait almost all restaurants fail at. I would recommend Hyderabadi Chicken biryani and 555 chicken biryani.

This restaurant is sort of out of plain sight. It's up on the hill across from Denny's at Dorsett and 270. It's definitely worth a stop. The restaurant is in a newer building with a couple other businesses, one being an Indian market. Plenty of parking in front and back. Upon entry, someone promptly greeted us and told us to sit wherever we'd like. There are tables and booths. My husband and I sat in a booth and ordered the chicken 65 appetizer, Navratan koorma, goat curry, and butter naan. Koorma and goat each came with a side of rice. The server asked us how we wanted each dish - mild, medium or spicy. We went with medium on all. For me, the spiciness was perfect. All the food was fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the koorma and 65. I just tried the sauce of the goat curry and it was really good. I'm not a fan of goat but my husband said it was perfect. Nice and tender. Portions were good. I couldn't eat all of mine, so I have enough for another meal. Up next to the register there are two display coolers full of pastries. The man at the register (possibly the owner?) offered us a sample. He asked which one we'd like and I told him to pick one for us. He gave us a sample of the mango and strawberry pastry. It was sooooo good. Fluffy, sweet but not too sweet, moist. Worth the calories. Even if you hate Indian food, JUST GO IN FOR THE PASTRIES. If the rest are anything like the mango/strawberry one, they will be fantastic. I ended up purchasing one to take home for the kid. All the pastries are made in house, too. There was also a birthday cake catalog, so I think they do cakes, as well. I'll definitely go here when I need desserts for family and co-worker b-days, etc. All the employees were very, very nice and attentive. We will definitely be back!
